This 120m2 former mill has been completely renovated and can sleep up to
14 people.
Low season (excluding July and August)
Our gîte is also the ideal venue for your private events (weddings,
birthdays, christenings, etc.) and can accommodate from 30 to 80 people
depending on the weather. It’s also possible to set up a barnum in the
garden.
Its magnificent 5,000m2 garden, its incredible weeping willow and its private
pond will give your party a unique charm, by day or by
night.
Activities and tourist attractions near the gîte
The gîte is located in the heart of the Calvados countryside in Normandy, between Caen and the historic town of Bayeux, close to the towns of Arromanches and Port-en-Bessin-Huppain. Our vacation rentals are ideal for your vacations in Calvados. The vacation home is at the heart of a 4-star campsite with a heated indoor swimming pool. Nearby, you can enjoy the D-Day beaches, ideal for water sports, walking, sea views and beaches.
In Normandy, you’ll be close to the D-Day landing beaches, including Gold Beach in Arromanches, Omaha Beach (32 minutes from the campsite) and Port-en-Bessin-Huppain (26 minutes from the campsite). At Arromanches, you’ll have a view of the artificial harbour, a historic vestige of the D-Day landings. You’ll be seduced by Bayeux’s historic town center, its shops, its cathedral, the tapestry of Queen Mathilde (which explains the story of the Battle of Hastings and the story of William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy). You can also visit the city of Caen (35 minutes from the campsite), its World War II Memorial and D-Day landing, discover the Port-en-Bessin-Huppain museum of submarine wrecks, etc… The gîte with garden furniture and private parking is 1 hour 15 minutes from Mont-Saint-Michel, considered one of the most beautiful places in the world and offering a magnificent view over the whole Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel.

The gîte is not suitable for young children or people with disabilities, due to the many steps in the old mill, the pond and the river that runs through the grounds.
In a nutshell
Camping L’Escapade offers a 120m2 gîte for 14 people for rent in Calvados, Normandy.
This former mill is located at the foot of the church in Cahagnolles, near Bayeux. The Aurette river runs through the wooded garden, and a pond of over 1000m² lies at the far end of the grounds.
From April to September, you’ll have free access to all the facilities at our campsite in Calvados, just 50 m from the house: indoor swimming pool, sports fields, inflatable games, bar, etc.
You’ll have plenty of private space just 50m from the campsite’s communal areas for this furnished vacation home near Bayeux in Normandy.
By choosing our charming gîte rental, you’ll also benefit from the proximity of the seaside and the seaside resorts of Deauville or Honfleur.
